The registration of chemicals on the single market is a valuable function of the ECHA. Significant decisions will need to be taken following the UK's decision to leave the EU and I can assure you that the Government will act in the best interest of the UK. The import and export of chemicals is a vital function of the economy.
The UK's future association with the European Chemicals Agency will be discussed as part the negotiations.
Please rest assured, the UK is still a member of the EU and REACH continues to apply until we leave. After we leave, an implementation period is expected to apply and this will ensure that changes can be introduced gradually if necessary.
