This morning I held a roundtable discussion with local businesses in Billingshurst and Southwater. It was a really positive meeting with businesses from the manufacturing, retail and leisure sectors. A huge range of issues came up including sustainability, rates and how to encourage entrepreneurial activity and job creation through the tax system.
Some really interesting points raised on which I’ll be reverting to participants. As always I certainly learned a lot from the discussion and I think the businesses also enjoyed hearing each other’s observations.
