I was contacted last Thursday night by Kilnwood Vale residents concerned about a large car “meet up” which took place that evening.
I have seen video footage of the “meet up” which is very concerning. I also know that as well as the “meet up” there have been reports of anti-social driving and racing in the area which I took up earlier in the year.
Immediately on receiving the emails, I contacted our local Police team. They have assured me that a robust tactical plan is now in place. This will include directed patrol activities by local units and the Road Policing team.
I am aware that a Police representative has attended a community meeting and provided updates; I hope residents found this useful.
I will continue to liaise with our local Police team on this issue and Katy Bourne, the Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner.
