Government Publishes Vaccination Plan

The Government has today published its Vaccination Plan. Full details are in the link below.

Key Objectives

  •  At least 2 million vaccinations in England per week by the end of January
  • Over 2,700 vaccine sites to be open across the UK
  • By the end of January, everyone in England to be within 10 miles of a vaccination site
  • All residents and staff in over 10,000 care homes across the country will be offered a vaccine by the end of the month

Key messages for the public:

• The NHS will let you know when it's your turn to have the vaccine. It's important not to contact the NHS for a vaccination before then.

• Please act on your invite when it comes, and make sure you attend your appointments.

Covid Vaccine Update 25th January

Yesterday over 492,000 people were vaccinated.  That brings the total to 6.35m, well over 1 in 10 adults in the UK.  Over 75 per cent of over 80s have now received their first dose.
