It was great to visit the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee School.
It is such a fabulous school with amazing students who achieve so much. Unsurprisingly demand has continued to grow for their brilliant education and the school is using every inch of space. Although I know Covid has had a very real impact and there is a determination from all quarters to deliver, it is frustrating that the new classrooms – which have been agreed- are not yet on-site. This is in hand but I am determined that they should be delivered as soon as possible for the benefit of staff and pupils.
Nor should this be the end of the expansion programme for QEII, there are real opportunities to enhance provision and what better year to achieve it for the QEII Silver Jubilee School, than to do so in this Platinum Jubilee year!
