It is great to hear that Horsham District Council Wardens have moved from petrol to hybrid vehicles to protect our local environment. The new vehicles consume less fuel and emit less C02 than a comparable petrol or diesel-engine car.
The wardens have been using these new vehicles since mid-March, and those wardens who cover Horsham Town Centre and also Denne, Forest and Trafalgar neighbourhoods received new electric bikes to help them cover greater distances quicker whilst on patrols.
I am glad that working in conjunction with Parish Councils, HDC has been able to provide a Neighbourhood Warden scheme which aims to make people feel safer in our neighbourhoods.
