Passenger Benefit Fund Survey and Meeting with the APPG on Southern Rail

Since becoming MP for Horsham our local rail services have been a major and ongoing priority. If you are a regular rail passenger and want to be kept updated please do email me with you contact details on jeremy.quin.mp@parliament.uk or by using the contact page on this website.

My next meeting with the All Party Parliamentary Group on Southern Rail with GTR’s Chief Executive Patrick Verwer, is set to be on 17th July. I have a number of issues already ongoing with GTR (including station skipping and service levels at three of our stations) but if there are additional specific points that you would like me to pursue, please do email me with details.

I also want to bring to your attention the consultation process being run by GTR for its “Passenger Benefit Fund” which I have explained in more detail in previous posts on my website.

The £15million fund is a station improvement fund, paid for by GTR, with a particular emphasis on those stations that suffered the worst of the disruption last year.

All our local Southern/Thameslink stations could be in the running for the extra investment.

GTR’s survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PassengerBenefitFund. It only takes a couple of minutes and lists a range of potential improvements from more ticket vending machines and cycle racks to solar panels on the station roof- or one can provide other suggestions.
