Horsham MP Jeremy Quin has secured a debate in the House of Commons on the recent performance of the local railways.
The televised debate will be held next Wednesday, 16th March at 2.30pm in Westminster Hall. It will give an opportunity for all local MPs to raise the concerns of their constituents about the recent performance of both the Operator and Network Rail.
After the debate the Rail Minister will reply on behalf of the Government setting out what is being done to ensure improvements for local rail users.
Mr Quin commented
"I want to ensure that all concerned, the Government, the Operator and Network Rail are well aware that the current service continues to be well below the standard that anyone should expect. We know improvements are promised but we want to hear firm deadlines for clear improvement."
Mr Quin would welcome emails via his website at www.jeremyquin.com from rail users on their recent experience of the service which can be used in the debate.
"This is an opportunity for me to put on record the frustration felt by many constituents and I would very much welcome their input."
