I have been made aware by a number of constituents in the Pease Pottage and Handcross areas that they are currently without water. This is of course concerning, especially given the extremely hot weather we are currently experiencing.
Upon being made aware of this issue, I made immediate contact with South East Water requesting an urgent update on this matter and how they are rectifying the issue. I will update my website and the constituents who have contacted me as soon as I hear further.
I know Southern Water have been asking their customers to save water where possible. They have acknowledged that due to the recent hot weather, coupled with increased consumption and changed usage patterns caused by lockdown, that they are facing challenges in ensuring all customers’ supplies. Southern Water have published the following water saving advice on their website: https://www.southernwater.co.uk/help-advice/how-to-save-water
