Today is "Brew Monday" a day where the Samaritans remind everyone to reach out for a cuppa and a catch-up.
The 15th January is sometimes referred to as the "most difficult day of the year" and it's important that we reach out and connect.
Our local branch of the Samaritans (whose mug I'm enjoying a brew from!) will be out at Three Bridges and Horsham train stations today encouraging passengers and staff to have a cuppa with someone they feel may need a little support.
The Samaritans are always there to listen and can be called 24/7 on 116 123 for free.
It was a pleasure to attend the Samaritans’ ‘Brew Monday’ drop in and have a chat with Chair Keith Leslie about the invaluable work of their volunteers. I was proud to be able to share the fabulous work of our local Samaritans and how they marked their 50th anniversary locally last year.
