Last week I met the Chancellor Jeremy Hunt to talk through Budget proposals.
As per my last article in the West Sussex County Times, we are all keen to see thee burden of tax reduced to reflect progress the Government has made in bringing inflation down and right sizing spending after the huge amount of support that was necessarily needed to be provided during Covid and in response to the cost of living.
However, I also raised the impact of funding for local services and ensuring West Sussex County Council has the resources to deal with potholes in which the Government invested last year but is a source of ongoing frustration to local residents.
