Last week I reported on Facebook how St Andrew’s School in Nuthurst nearly had to shut for the day on very limited notice after being informed by UK Power Networks that their power would need to be switched off for engineering works.
I was pleased to be able to help intervene on the school’s behalf and as a result the school stayed open and the children were able to have a normal day of learning.
I was invited to pop into the school and I was very happy to receive a “special certificate” from the Headteacher in assembly. Its been a while since I was receiving a certificate in school rather than handing them out but it was much appreciated! I am told MOST of the children were very pleased to be able to come to school and not have an extra day at home….
