On Friday (14th July) i-Rock Horsham District officially opened after many months of campaigning by Jeremy Quin, MP for Horsham. He has campaigned for i-Rock ever since the idea was raised with him by local young people as the best way to provide them with walk-in support and advice.
Mr Quin said “I am thrilled that through the local NHS (Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust), 4TheYouth and other agencies that i-Rock is now firmly up and running.
“It was a really uplifting moment and it was a pleasure to be joined by Dr Alex George for the opening, helping boost the profile of what is a vital resource for our local young people.
“I really would encourage any young person who is struggling with their mental or emotional wellbeing or may be experiencing other worries or concerns to pop into i-Rock and see how the team there can help.”
i-Rock is located in Hurst Café on Hurst Road and is a support and advice hub for young people aged 14-25 living in West Sussex. More information on i-Rock and how to access its services can be found here: https://www.picktime.com/irockhorshamdistrict
