Many constituents will be aware that the upcoming local elections on 4th May will be the first time that voter identification will be required to be shown by all voters at a polling station. Accepted forms of ID include your passport, driving licence, blue badge, older person’s bus pass or disabled person’s bus pass. If you do not have an accepted photo ID, you have until 25th April to apply for a ‘Voter Authority Certificate’ (VAC) if you wish to vote in person at the local elections. You can apply for a VAC for free at the following link: https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate
