Incidents of Anti-Social Behaviour and crime in the town centre of Horsham has been a real concern for constituents. I have held a number of meetings on this issue, most recently one with the District Commander, the Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner, a representative from the local licencee community and Horsham District Council.
I have continued to maintain close contact with the Police and I am pleased that there continues to be a strong police presence in the town centre, especially late at night and at weekends. The Police continue to have the ability to bring in Dispersal Orders as and when they are needed. The Police are very much aware of the series of problems that need to be tackled and they are working hard to do so.
I have certainly seen a reduction in the number of emails I am receiving from constituents on this matter. This does not mean however that efforts are being let up – they are not - and the Police remain extremely focussed on our concerns. If you have specific issues to raise please do let me know by emailing me on jeremy.quin.mp@parliament.uk
