“Ed Psychs” have a critical role to play in our schools and unfortunately demand continues to increase (as do the number of conditions being diagnosed). Yesterday I asked the Minister about additional recruitment.
We need more and it is a very long and demanding training programme. I am pleased that the Minister reiterated that an additional 400 will be trained alongside the ongoing programme but I will be following up as to when we can expect these on the front line given the training periods and experience required and retention rates.
