Jeremy Quin Meets with the Chancellor

I joined the Chancellor yesterday with other Sussex MPs to raise specific issues we want to see considered as part of his Autumn Statement and future budget preparations.

I was particularly keen to flag local infrastructure including our hospitals (and their distance from Horsham), schools and the state of West Sussex roads notwithstanding significant Government investment.

It’s brilliant that inflation has already been brought down to 4.6% making for a much better outlook than at the start of the year but there are a lot of issues on which to work.

Many people live in Horsham and work further afield but it is vital that Horsham remains a thriving economic centre in its own right, as it has been for hundreds of years.

Our Local NHS

We all want to be able to easily access our local NHS resources- whether that be appointments with GPs, check ups with dentists or treatment at hospital.

Local Transport Infrastructure

There are thousands of people using not only Horsham station itself but also, among others within the constituency Billingshurst, Christ’s Hospital, Littlehaven, Warnham, Faygate and Balcombe stations for whom a regular, reliable service is absolutely critical.
