Last Tuesday I joined a call with Southern Water ahead of their publication today of their report into the water outage that affected so many local residents in May.

Southern Water have identified the issues that likely caused the incident and are conducting work to ensure Hardham reservoir is resilient.
However, the outage showed very clearly the importance of being prepared for all circumstances and I have discussed with the CEO changes that are needed to help customers in these challenging circumstances which Southern Water have taken on board. (I am grateful to everyone who responded to my survey which supported this process.)
It really helps Southern Water if they know who their vulnerable customers are.
