Jeremy Quin, MP for Horsham, has written to the Chief Executive of West Sussex County Council to push for the creation of an active travel corridor along the A264 between Horsham and Crawley.
The A264 from Crawley to Horsham has been identified in WSCC’s draft West Sussex Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) as one of six routes that are high priority for development and funding
Jeremy Quin said: “I recently conducted a survey of Kilnwood Vale residents and a significant number of respondents requested a safe, flat link between the development and Faygate. I am delighted that this route is included in the LCWIP as it would offer residents an active travel route to the local shop, pub and railway station in Faygate. I would really encourage Kilnwood Vale residents and all others with an interest to respond to WSCC’s consultation in support of the proposal.”
WSCC’s consultation on the draft West Sussex Active Travel Strategy and LCWIP closes on 15th November; more information can be found here: https://yourvoice.westsussex.gov.uk/active-travel-strategy
