I am extremely disappointed that the ASLEF and the RMT unions have called further strike action.
RMT members will take strike action on Saturday 26 August and Saturday 2 September. Services will start later and finish earlier than normal on these days. Two trains per hour will serve Billingshurst, Christ's Hospital, Horsham, Littlehaven, Faygate and Balcombe in either direction.
Similar to previous RMT strikes, services on the day after each strike day are expected to start later.
ASLEF members will take strike action on Friday 1 September – there will be no Gatwick Express or Thameslink trains operating for the whole day. A very limited Southern service will operate, calling at Gatwick Airport and London Victoria only.
ASLEF has also advised their members not to work non-contractual overtime on Saturday 2 September.
