Supporting Our Young People

We have nearly 40,000 young people living in the Horsham District.

Post Covid, and in an increasingly online world, our young people feel under more pressure than ever before.

In March 2022 I launched a campaign to establish a safe place in Horsham for local young people to seek advice and support away from home and school and without a referral. I was delighted when we secured the opening of i-Rock Horsham District in July 2023 and was pleased to be joined by Dr Alex George (TV Personality and Mental Health Ambassador) to help publicise the launch.

Whilst we now have i-Rock in place I am determined to make sure it is well used by young people and to look into other areas of concern for them.

Please see below for updates on supporting our young people.

Jessica is incredibly focussed on improving how organisations share information and concerns about young people to prevent future tragedies.
