I am delighted to say that I have just driven down the Worthing Road and all work is completed on time and the road is open in both directions!

In the last debate the House held on defence I pressed the case for the Government to set out a trajectory for reaching 2.5 per cent of GDP on defence investment. I was delighted that this has now been set out by the Government and we need other allies to follow.

Jeremy Quin Speaks Out on Gatwick Expansion

Gatwick Airport is seeking to convert and extend their existing “emergency runway” in order to run an operational second runway.  Their proposal is currently subject to an inquiry by the Planning Inspectorate who will make a recommendation to the Government.  

Jeremy Quin Visits Horsham Hospital

Friday afternoon I visited Horsham Hospital. I wanted to hear about the capital programme (£4m has been invested over the last two years in maintain/improving the fabric with more scheduled).

Jeremy Quin Visits Nationwide

It was a pleasure to have a meeting at Nationwide’s Horsham branch on Friday which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. It is remarkable how a “modern” bank is accommodated within a medieval Horsham home and good to speak to happy customers!

Rail Strikes

I am very disappointed that ASLEF members will yet again take strike action on Tuesday 7th May. There will be no trains serving stations in the Horsham constituency. A very limited Southern shuttle service will operate between Gatwick Airport and London Victoria.
