English Tourism Week

“English Tourism Week” will take place 15th to 24th March and it’s a great opportunity to celebrate the wonderful tourist sites and attractions in our area. This year I am asking constituents to let me know which local attraction they would recommend for someone out of the region to visit. 

Update on Worthing Road Roadworks

After writing to SGN to ask for clarity on access to Blackbridge Lane I have received a further update from SGN. SGN inform me that the road will be access only to ensure the safety of St John's and Arunside pupils.

Jeremy Quin Visits The Drinks Company

I recently visited The Drinks Company in Horsham. Drinks Co have been distributing spirits to leading supermarkets and On Trade establishments for 27 years and has deep Horsham routes.  It was great to learn more about the business and the unique products they deliver.

MP for Horsham Welcomes New Local School Provision

On Wednesday (6th March), the Chancellor of the Exchequer committed an initial £105 million towards a wave of fifteen special free schools to create over 2,000 additional places for children who require tailored support outside the mainstream environment.

Update on Worthing Road Roadworks

I have received a further update from SGN about progress on the Worthing Road roadworks – they aim to have Blackbridge Lane reopened towards the middle of next week (although Worthing Road will remain closed around the work site).

Supporting our Great Local Schools

Horsham and Billingshurst pride themselves on their local schools and Horsham’s 6th form college and are right to do so. They are hotly sought after and for good reason. 

Jeremy Quin Visits St Peter's School, Cowfold

St Peter’s School, Cowfold on Friday hearing about their new ground source heat pump and its huge benefits for the school!  Children really enthused.  Despite a substantial Government grant and help from Chichester Diocese this was still a difficult call for the governors and I congratulate them

Royal Mail Update

Senior representatives from the Royal Mail recently briefed Sussex MPs on progress being made with delays to deliveries many constituents are experiencing locally. Royal Mail reported that they are now hitting 93% of delivery points in Sussex, up from 86% last October to December.
